Getting Started

GameShareHub is a peer-to-peer marketplace for renting board games, video games, LEGO sets, and toys. Users can list items they own for rent or browse and rent items from others in their community. We're currently in beta phase, working to perfect the platform based on user feedback.

Yes! Browsing and basic features are completely free. We take a small service fee only when you successfully complete a rental transaction. During our beta phase, many features are free as we gather user feedback.

Simply create an account, complete your profile, and start browsing items near you. You can also list your own items to earn money from things you already own.

Renting Items

Browse our marketplace, find an item you want, and click 'Rent Now'. You'll be connected with the owner to arrange pickup/delivery details and payment. During beta, some of these processes are being streamlined.

There is no insurance program on the platform currently. Every rental is protected by a security deposit collected through the app before the rental begins. We recommend both parties document the item's condition at pickup with photos. If a dispute arises, our support team steps in to help resolve it.

Rental periods vary by item and owner preference. Most rentals range from 1 day to 2 weeks. You can see available rental periods on each item's listing page.

Yes! Contact the item owner through our messaging system to request an extension. Both parties need to agree to the new terms.

Listing Items

We focus on board games, video games, gaming consoles, LEGO sets, and educational toys. Items should be in good condition and family-friendly. Check our community guidelines for the complete list of allowed items.

Pricing is up to you! We recommend checking similar items on the platform and considering the item's retail value. Many users charge 10-20% of retail price per day, but you can set whatever feels fair.

Payments are handled through Stripe, our secure payment partner. Once a rental is completed, your payout is transferred automatically to your connected bank account, minus the platform service fee. You'll set up your payout details when you create your first listing.

Safety & Trust

All users go through identity verification before they can transact on the platform. We also have a community rating system so you can check a person's track record before agreeing to a rental. Verified IDs, detailed profiles, and real reviews create a reliable layer of trust.

Our community guidelines require prompt returns. We have a resolution process for disputes and are developing insurance coverage for such situations. Contact us immediately if you experience any issues.

Absolutely! We encourage meeting in safe, public places for item exchanges. Many users prefer to meet before finalizing rental agreements, especially for valuable items.

Account & Profile

Complete profiles build trust in our community. Users are more likely to rent from people with photos, descriptions, and verified information. Plus, you'll unlock achievement badges and quests!

Email verification is required to create an account. Full identity verification is also available through your profile settings — completing it increases your trust score, unlocks higher rental limits, and makes other users more confident renting with you.

Yes, you can delete your account anytime through your profile settings. Keep in mind this will remove all your listings and rental history.
